That’s why, for over 80 years they’ve helped young people and schools, families and friends, travellers and individuals to explore, learn and relax the length and breadth of England and Wales.
From their beginning in 1930 YHA has grown to be one of the top 50 charities with a diverse network of hostels, often in exceptional places, open to everyone and especially young people.
To help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the cultural values of towns and cities, particularly by providing Youth Hostels or other accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, recreation and education
